Our mission is to provide a fun atmosphere that will meet the everyday needs of each child intellectually, academically, emotionally, socially and physically.  We will provide quality care for each child based on their individual growth and development.  We will help to prepare your child for the future, one "little step" at a time.

Our Business

Little Steps is located in the heart of Texas Corners.  We are proud to be active community participants and look forward to hosting the childrens' area in the annual Taste of Texas, held the first Sunday in October.  www.tasteoftexas.biz 

Little Steps was previously known as Today's Child.  Originally opened in 2004, we have been under new ownership since August 2007.  We were previously located in the shopping plaza along with Asiagos Bakery, Lifespring Church, and Quinn's Pharmacy.  We are now located in the building that was previously DeLoof Construction.

Our highlight of the year includes providing a childrens' area at the "Taste of Texas".  Participating in this event along with a variety of other local businesses provided us with a better grasp on all of the great things our community has to offer.  We appreciate the wonderful welcome that has been outreached and look forward to many more years in this involved community.

Who We Are

Our staff undergoes specific guidelines to be employed at our center.  Staff must have a clean criminal background check, be CPR and First Aid Certified, and have a clearance completed through the Michigan State Police ICHAT.

We are proud to build on the State of Michigan Childcare Licensing rules, and require our staff to earn 18 hours of continuing education yearly, compared to the 12 that the State requires.

We have partnered with Western Michigan University and encourage students to contact us regarding their pre-internships, observations, and field studies.  Typically employing between ten and fifteen employees, our priority is open parent and staff communication, allowing us to give optimal care.
